Researching Orthodontics on the Internet

Researching orthodontics on the internet may be difficult for parents. There are many orthodontic offices and companies providing information about braces. The American Association of Orthodontist provides a good start at their website www.mylifemysmile.org

Questions?  When do we start treatment? Extraction vs non extraction? Which type of braces/wires are used? Which treatment plan is best?  Adult treatment?

Research in orthodontics is important to answer these questions. Good research is even better. Many research articles are published but only a few get selected for an orthodontic journal.  The American Journal of Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics (AJO-DO) and The Angle Orthodontist are my favorite. The Angle Orthodontist at www.angle.org is free on the internet. This is a good place to search for questions about orthodontic treatment.

I also would visit www.kokichorthodontics.com . Dr Kokich Jr. has many great articles to read about adult orthodontics that are provided for free on his website.

Alliance Rotary Castle Run

Paulus Orthodontics is a sponsor for the 9th annual Alliance Rotary Castle Run which will take place on Labor Day, September 1st 2014.  It is one of 3 major fundraisers for the Alliance Rotary Club. The club uses these funds to make possible their many charitable endeavors in the Alliance area.
         The Alliance Rotary Club are once again looking for sponsors to help make this event a success.  There are three levels of sponsorship: Gold, Silver and Bronze. If you are willing to help, all they ask for now is a commitment to be a sponsor.  However, they need your commitment to sponsor now as they are printing the race applications in mid-March and would like to put your logo on them as a benefit of sponsorship. To get your logo on the race shirts given to each participant and volunteer, you must be at least a silver or gold sponsor.
